Digital advancements are changing the business landscape, and enterprise infrastructure has become the cornerstone of progress. To stay competitive right digital infrastructure is needed. To help organizations with that, a part of Charter Communications, Inc.—Spectrum Enterprise—has launched a managed SD-WAN service with the capability of stitching together SD-WAN networks and Ethernet networks. The service is designed and delivered using a next-generation SDN and network function virtualization (NFV) platform that is integrated into the Spectrum Enterprise fiber network across the U.S.
The entire implementation from solution design and white-glove installation to portal based network visibility, 24x7 monitoring and support are covered by the Managed SD-WAN service. The service is available in Layer 3, Layer 2 and Hybrid service configurations along with the ability to use and optimize multiple connections at each site to meet clients' requirements. Additionally, an integrated virtual security service is available for clients who need to enable secure internet access with the Managed SD-WAN service.
Greg King, Senior Vice President, Product, Marketing and Strategy, Spectrum Enterprise said, " Our new Managed SD-WAN service delivers on our promise of choice and flexibility by enabling enterprises to grow and evolve their networks via our next-generation SDN/NFV platform. The Spectrum Enterprise Managed SD-WAN service delivers the features including managed SD-WAN and connectivity bundles, application visibility and prioritization, integration with existing Ethernet networks, managed portal, and integrated virtual security.
Spectrum Enterprise used a field trial to test the product on customers and learn from their feedback. The service incorporates technologies from Cisco for services orchestration; Fortinet for virtual security solution; Netcracker for VNF management and Nokia’s Nuage Networks for the SD-WAN technology. Managed SD-WAN service is available nationally with transparent pricing and bundles with multiple connection options.
