FREMONT, CA: In a move to provide free access of the advanced Internet of Things (IoT) data sharing to startup companies, PrismTech, provider of software platforms for distributed systems, has launched its Vortex Innovator Program.
With this program, IoT startup qualifying companies, who are not in a position to fund their up-front license or subscription development costs, can easily have the access of PrismTech’s data sharing platform, Vortex.
Vortex, which is based on the OMG’s Data Distribution Service (DDS) open standard, offers a resourceful solution for device-to-device, device-to-cloud and cloud-to-cloud Internet scale real-time data sharing. Also, it performs as a decisive enabler for systems that have to securely distribute high volumes of data with stern end-to-end qualities-of-service (QoS) facilitating its ability to deliver the right information to the right place at the right time.
In addition, by delivering high-performance IoT system solutions for many vertical markets, it helps system integrators, OEMs, device vendors and cloud service providers gaining their reputation in market. The platform also includes Vortex Café for mobile phones and tablets, Vortex Life for sensors and embedded network edge platforms, Vortex Cloud for cloud services, Vortex Web for browsers, Vortex OpenSplice for enterprise for enterprise platforms and Vortex Gateway for integration with other IoT protocols.
Commenting on the introduction of program, Lawrence Ross, CEO of PrismTech, says, “To create successful IoT products and services, companies need access to the latest and best IoT software enabling technologies. We recognize that for new startups or small companies this can sometimes be expensive. The Vortex Innovator Program provides a great way for small companies to access our technology with no upfront costs.”
