Web apps are not adapted on any particular devices, and they are accessed via internet browsers.  Web apps do appear as mobile apps because of their responsive nature.

Both mobile and web apps follow similar design, fonts, and color scheme, they are different products. Mobile apps work offline, and web apps need an active internet connection to run.

Web apps’ pros:

Availability: Web applications can be accessed via browser from devices as smartphones, tablets, or computers. They don’t need to be downloaded or installed. 

Compatibility: Web apps can reach to the users across different types of mobile devices. Moreover, website URLs are easily integrated with other mobile technologies as SMS, QR Codes and NFC (near field communication).

Upgradability: Websites are more dynamic in terms of flexibility to update content. Its easy to change or edit the design or content of a web app.

Findability: Web apps are easier for users to find because the pages can be displayed in the search results and listed in the specific directories. 

Its important to consider the business goals, the convenience of users and features that the mobile apps and the web apps have before counting on them.
