Itential's "Brings Your Own Automation” abilities enable integration of current automation processes.

FREMONT, CA: Itential announced Automation Gateway, a tool purpose-built to drive enterprise network automation and further accelerate network programmability.

Itential's 'Bring Your Own Automation' abilities ensure IT teams to integrate their current automation efforts and transform the scripts into APIs for use in end-to-end network automation workflows within Itential's Automation Platform.

According to upcoming research from Enterprise Management Associates, more than 60 percent of enterprise organizations still utilize an ad-hoc manual and reactive script-based approach to automation.

Network engineers need to integrate their existing infrastructure while keeping pace with the adoption of new technologies, as network operations move towards a more software-defined approach.

Chris Wade, CTO at Itential said, "In an effort to migrate from the CLI, the level of innovation in the network domain is being developed at a pace we have not experienced previously and organizations are struggling with how to rationalize their existing investments and start moving beyond scripting to modern network automation"

"Itential enables NetOps teams to move toward more modern automation techniques with an API driven approach without having to rip and replace or start from scratch," he added.

Itential's Automation Gateway utilizes existing investment in network configuration tools and network change scripts to drive network automation projects by including their existing efforts into a holistic approach.

By utilizing automation solutions that include customers' existing ecosystem, network teams can focus on enhancing automation efforts across multi-domain networks to enable more network agility in support of current and future digital business requirements.

Applying these capabilities within Itential's Automation Platform, the team can provide out of the box support for all types from Python, C, Bash, Perl, and Ansible Playbooks; which provides a seamlessly connected and centralized view of all automation efforts for use within the Itential Automation Platform.

Dynamic discovery of scripts helps provide a centralized and globally available repository within the Itential Automation Platform.  This enables script execution in automation workflows using defined group-based access controls for end-to-end network automation.

The ability to enhance scripts, to enable and enforce consistent schema definitions and to normalize scripts for standardized and repeatable API consumption, Itential drives network programmability.

Along with this initiation, Itential's latest launching includes advanced event-driven automation capabilities for performing closed-loop activities.

Itential was featured in Enterprise Networking Magazine as one of the Top 10 Networking Startups 2018. "In the coming months, Itential will be announcing additional key network ecosystem partners along with a number of the open-source initiative," concluded Ian Bresnahan, CEO, Co-founder, and president of Itential.
